So, we've spent the whole year waiting for summer evenings, and then suddenly (while you still think it's January) it's May and it's light until 9.30pm. Amazing. Bry and Gareth aren't actually engaged but they have a great park next to their house and I talked them into modelling for a few shots before we had dinner (but after we had gin...more about that later...). Neither of them were especially confident about the idea of modelling for couples photos, and I wasn't sure I would be able to pose them without making it look too romantic, which isn't really their style. 5 minutes in and scrap the nerves - it actually ended up being one of the most fun shoots I've done. I gave them a couple of poses to get started, and after that we pretty much forgot about the posing and I just snapped as they went. The result? See for yourself...
So, if you're worried about your shoot....don't be. If you don't want to be posed then tell your photographer. If you want to have a gin before your shoot then have one (or three, to be precise). And if you want to spray Prosecco everywhere instead of cuddle for your photos....do it! Summer evenings always please.
